Difference between mi mix and mi max

Totally different category. Screen size, same. Both 6.4". Overall footprint, mix is smaller. Features, Mix has better overall specs. Price is almost 4x of Max(32GB) as well. Max has microSD slot, Mix don't.

Ok i looked thru the specs of both phones and it seems the mix is a slightly better phone. The res is higher than full HD while the max is full HD. The gpu of the mix is also higher but the battery capacity is smaller. It has 6GB of ram which is alot the chip set is a snapdragon 821 while the max is only 620 and i guess the higher the number the more powerful. The cpu of the mix is quad core while the max is octo core but the mix has a higher processor speed. I guess i'll read up to see more about the different cpu speeds and settings.

I'm assuming 6GB of ram is the best version of the mix and there's a slower 4GB around.

Slightly better is an understatement. Totally 2 different category, most distinctive of mix is the bezel-less display (latest trend), ceramic back, option for highest amount ram and storage with 3d touch iirc, has current latest Snapdragon 821 cpu and adreno 530 fastest gpu in the market now.
Max on the other hand is budget phone that has relatively good spec, bang for buck phone I'd say but they belong to 2 very different category for people wit4h different budget

My choice is Mi max while Mi mix camera not fantastic and easy crack with edge less just a knock or drop.

6gb ram is fast but how fast do we really need... I Dun play game.

Other comment about the mix voice issue... Too loud other can hear conversation.

Maybe I wait for improve mix 2 version.

Mi mix is definitely a much much better phone then max.. If can afford get it if can't then mi max is good also.

See the screen quality difference.. See the size difference.. Ceramic vs aluminum build.

Wrong statement there. That's like saying a ferrari isn't such a good car despite having a faster 1-100km timing all cos you don't race. Doesn't change the fact that it's a good car same logic as the mix.
