As far as I know saf got bmt, Scdf got brt, police got bpt. What the difference in the training levels? Some friends from Spf told they train only on physical fitness and most of the time go air-conditioned room study law. Like 60% study, 20% pt, 20% drills and training. Compared to bmt its everyday physically shag from pt to tekan etc. Not sure about Scdf. Anyone can enlighten me about how tough the trainings are between the 3? Personally saf bmt more xiong since got little to no rest plus got route march

I don't think anyone can give you an actual answer. I have friends in BMT enhanced batch pes A and B1L1 who could fall out from 16km and 24km route marches, POP and get into OCS/SCS.

Some in SPF doing endless drills and burning weekends.

Meanwhile my BMT years back was just endless tekaning. Fall out for 16km? Do over the weekends.. Fall out for 24km? OOC from BMT. Not sleeping? Whole coy gets turned out at 12AM.

Imo mono intakes are the most xiong.

The tempo (and route marches) in BMT are meant to acclimatise you. You'd feel tired naturally.

Your rest time will increase nearer to GP, as you complete more of your training programme (especially earlier for PTP).

Unless someone went through all 3 training, how would one be able to provide you with their personal experience?

it will just be an academic exercise comparing it on paper based on theory and logic.

I was from SPF, take in mind our BPT is the longest, at 14-weeks long. Also, while you might think sitting in an air conditioned room is relaxing, you literally get mind f*cked over and over.

I think that the two benefits the SPF has over the SAF is the outfield, as well as the route March. Other than these two, the SPF is actually quite taxing.

I know I will get a lot of people rebutting my argument, but I feel that the reason our training is so tough is because we are dealing with real life situations, we sometimes have to help solve familial disputes. Compared to Army, whose trainings are only simulations....

Again, I can't vouch for Army, as I have not gone through the training, however, friends have told me that BMT is something that you can get used to.

Yes, generally speaking, most trainings in SAF (not just Army, mind you) are simulations (which you should be glad they are), but there are also units that are just as much on real and active standby (EOD cannot be done by SCDF alone without the assistance of 36 SCE, for example).
