Different brand harddrive

Hi,

I am wondering if I can use my harddrive from previous computer as a third harddrive on my new computer. It is a Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7200. My current computer has a samsung 840 ssd & WD blue 1tb, will there be any problems with adding on this harddrive since it is another brand?

To add it I just need to plug the sata cable & power cable to it and it should show up when I boot my computer again right? (computer noob here) or do I have to enable it in bios/something like that.

After plugging it in my ichy finger touched something in the bios(to disable it to see if it was that drive) because it kept asking me to do a disk check for it, after doing that the drive does not show up when in my device manager & I cant find it at the bios page again to undo what I did.
I think the drive is running thought because my computer seems louder than usual.

Any idea on how I can get this working?

Please make sure that your PC PSU can support three drives. Else you may need to upgrade the PSU.

Unless his PSU is on the edge. HDDs don't draw a lot of power during normal operations. They draw the most (and still not a lot, <20W) when spinning up.
