difficulty receiving POSB OTP

Wondering if its an isolated issue.

I am having difficulty receiving One Time Passwords from POSB. Can't receive them somehow. No problems with other banks.

Called in to their hotline, and they sent testing smses which works fine.
Only the OTPs can't get through.

Anyone else having the same problem?

SMS or token?

If it's token, I had the same problem with DBS corporate banking. I have to prompt them "out of sync" then they know how to fix it.

The problem is with SMS, token works fine for me.
Unfortunately, some transactions needs OTP via SMS to work.

the best way is to write via email (after u login yr posb internet).. they will eventually send u several sms with different 'routes'.

P.S. are u using an sg mobile network?

Yes, i am using Singtel.

After lots of testing with DBS hotline ( i think they are quite helpful actually ), i am still confused as to what is causing the issue.

1) I have no problems receiving messages from any other banks/friends. DBS "testing routes" SMSes goes through to my phone too. Only the OTP SMSes do not get through. So apparently it seems like a problem with DBS side.

2) As suggested by the hotline officer, I tried using a different phone with my current SIM card and it worked! So apparently it seems like there is something wrong with my phone.

I don't get it...

lol your issue seems complicated. at least they (DBS) are trying to help. for my case, they were blaming it on the telco but it didn't make sense since i can receive sms from everyone else but not the otp and sms notices when i withdraw/transfer large amounts. anyway the problem kinda resolved itself after about 3 months or so. meanwhile i used my wife's supcard for online purchases..

anyway, if its really an issue with your phone then i guess it is just sway... sorry for not being able to help but sometimes it is just not meant to be. try to get another CC from another bank..

no i did not try another phone to see if it works. I was pissed that DBS keep on telling me it was my telco problem. obviously my telco denied it and i felt they made more sense since i was able to receive sms from everyone else...

i actually stop bothering about it and like i posted previously.. i then started to use my wife's sup card.. after about 3-4 months, I realised by then it is inconvenient to always use my wife sup card etc, i called DBS to report the problem again. this time, they managed to solve it by switching to another 'route'..

Singtel is the problem. I also have lag otp code from Stan chart bank. Can lag up to 1min.

Had no such issues when I was on M1

sometimes is the banks or the company itself.. had problems receiving from SGX and Singpass too before sometimes then need to wait few hours

Did you try to restart or change the phone?

I'm on Singtel. 99% of the time I received within 3 seconds.
