I also have this active antenna with a booster. I do not recommend this type. Find them generally useless. Useless without the booster. Still useless with the booster.

I ordered this passive antenna off Qoo10 for $13. Will do a review once it arrives.
Got my Funke 5.1 from Courts for $54 (instead of $59). Pro tip: sign up for their newsletter and get $5 coupon, subsequently unsub once you get the discount code. Order online and collect the next day at the store.

My take: if you are only concern with local channels, with the islandwide implementation of HD broadcast, you are better off with a cheaper alternative. My $25 40-cm stick antenna I bought from SLS many years ago perform so much better; just plug and hide it behind my tv then can play liao. With the Funke, you may have a harder time hiding the box antenna. And as there is blind spot, you need to place it prominently in the open free of obstruction, near to the windows. But once you set it in its place, the signal received is much more stable of course.
And if you are interested with Malaysian and Indo channels, this antenna MIGHT just be worth the money. From Sembawang I managed to tap Malaysian HD channels like TV2, TV3, 8TV etc with the booster; this the cheaper stick antenna couldn’t do. But bear in mind, this is highly dependent on your location and quality of tuner. My old house in AMK can watch Malaysian and Indo channels with my cheapo stick antenna. My standalone STB can detect Malaysian channels, but not my Samsung TV built-in tuner.
Yeah it’s really a hit and miss. Even though I receive the broadcast signal, the transmission is quite unstable.
usb powered?
So do we need 2 change the qam when scanning for my channels?Malaysia is transmitting on Ch 47 for their DVB-T2 and Batam is transmitting on Ch 47 for their analog SCTV.
Only those staying in the northern part of SG can receiveMalaysia DVB-T2 signal. They are transmitting at the highest modulation level - 256QAM, which is meant for outdoor (roof-top) reception.
I wont say this is useless as i using it and able to receive all malaysia channels near window, which exactly same receiving range as as newmedia standalone active antenna.

I use this with my K3 tuner. No booster. Bukit Batok 22th floor, can receive all Malaysia channels.
I use the same antenna and tuner in my car. No issue, very clear local channels. East side many jittering but don't really care, seldom drive to that side.
Need dual tuners 4 tat I believeCan I schedule a recording/time-shifting for Ch5 (538.000mhz) while watching Ch8 (554.000mhz) at the same time?
Happens that 2 programmes broadcasting at the same time. Thinking of recording to watch later.

Can sic your link?Just get another K2 set top box. It cost about $30 in Carousell. Dual tuner STB cost more and hard to find. Second STB can use as backup.![]()
