Digital TV (DVB T2) in Singapore [consolidated]

SCV can't receive T2 or T signals, only analog and DVB-C signals. What TV set you bought?

My dad was also about to get this TV set too as the price is attractive and he liked it too but once he got to know that the TV can't receive T2, he changed his mind and got a LG T2 set instead. Do you have cable TV service like StarHub TV or mio TV?

i didnt have the knowledge last week..
nope.. my parents only watch free to air TV shows..

iirc only Samsung Series 7 and 8 comes with DVB-T2

- Samsung Series 7 F7100 LED TV
- Samsung Series 7 F7500 LED TV
- Samsung Series 8 F8000 LED TV
- Samsung Series 8 F8500 LED TV
Samsung Smart TV models are registered with IDA to be compatible with the digital format DVB-T2 SAMSUNG

too late already brought the tv..

let say if i get the draco STB box and connect to the MATV point (assume it still working), can i use it for 3 TV? (2 in the room, 1 in living room)

Use a TV antenna splitter if it can be connected to your STB.

HDMI or RCA is for the connection between STB to tv, it has nothing to do with the recording itself. What you need is just turn on the STB, plug in external drive and record it. You not even need to turn on your tv.

If the matv has the T2 signal, the starting point is that Draco stb can decode to both hdmi and composite output.

If you want to use the draco output to connect to all 3 tv at the same time, I believe the draco is unable to supply the signal. Even if it can, the distance involved will make it a must to get quality hmdi cables plus hdmi splitter. Estimate the cable length involved and work out the cost.

Anyway maybe second time lucky, with the F female to IEC male adaptor - $2.70 which I bought from Courts just a few days ago.

All signal from StarHub strictly DVB-C (C for Cable)...

In addition, analogue channels such as TV1 (chan 3), U (chan 23), Octo (chan 25), and CNA (chan 30).

Note the difference in chan nos as compared to Sg FTA channels. This is not a complete listing of available analogue channels from starhub point.
