Dilemma: spare SSD keep or use?

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB PCIe® Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe™ 1.3, M2 (2280) SSD is already my main/boot SSD in my Gaming PC

Due to Amazon Prime Day, this same Samsung SSD was on sale for SGD69 which I buy together with a Seagate Ironwolf 3.5" NAS 5,900rpm 4TB SATA HDD prime member sale at SGD83
Should I install this spare Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB SSD onto the 2nd M2 slot on the mainboard or keep inside the box SINCE I won't be using this spare?

For me, my old SATA SSDs are being used as 1, an OS backup that I can safely reinstall my OS to an earlier more stable state in case of a catastrophic OS failure.
And the other SSD being used for slow moving storage like the Pictures or Music folder.

I've basically split up my NVMe SSD drives into a specific core folder like Documents, Downloads, Videos all within its own SSD. So the old SATA SSDs play nicely into this since most consumer PC will be limited to 4 NVMe SSDs with the 5th cutting the GPU PCIe speeds by half which is not advisable. Thus, relying on the older SATA SSD drives for them.

Keep it in the product's box won't affect lifespan but inside the computer will. Advisable not to install extra hardware/software/driver to leech the computer. Save it for spare or as a gift to friend/kin/lover.

FYI locally Samsung SSD prices have drop a lot.
Currently Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1 TB have drop to $88.
Not much difference, not joking you can go nearby Challenger to
buy.
But Challenger abit higher at $91 cuz last time 1TB model cost around $150 onwards.

If got space might as well put it in and use for backup / game drive. Next time you find another use for it then move the drive.

Tech stuff buy already just use, the constant improvement of standards mean they become irrelevant very fast. We may not even be using nvme anymore 3 years from now, look at how fast M.2 SATA vanished.

but ask you self this, then why did u buy it in the first place?
cheap but dont use = useless
