Have not really decided yet but more towards deck then engine since my engineering knowledge is no that good & I want to try something new like 'Captain' since I already touch on M&E.

Wow, I don't think I have the chance to join deck or engine cause I will be too old when my kids grow up. Maybe we stay contact in hwz & when I am ready, you share with me your experience & recommend me?

Im not really sure oldest in sma that I know of he was around 28 years old. what I know that there are those who are 30 plus that join TNTA, well since most of them jump ship and decide for a career change. So if theres any cut off age, Idk sorry .. So Kyoji you're interested in the deck or engine?
anyway just fyi from what I read there's a lot new initiatives by the gov, to promote more sinkies into the maritime industry allowance, awards, Skill Future credit etc.YEAY:s12:
Quite sad NOL been bought over, once our pride ;')

omg nice. i wish you all the best.
Sorry Mogan, i really can't recall or find past sms or email. i did remember they gave me a call during work, thats about it.
Some of my mates asked peeps from maritime engr in ite for updates if anyone got call or check twitter if anyone tweeted about the interview. but one thing for sure when you aced the interview prepare some cash, there's quite a decent amount of stuff that need to be bought

I was planning to call them next week if I don't receive anything from them, it's also to show interest in the course. :o

Just made a quick search on twitter, a few guys tweeted about DNS and that they haven't been called up for interview yet.

If they called me during work I doubt I'll be able to answer :(

haha, I have been offered a place in DNS. Now waiting for enrolment package and uniform sizing

Questions were the usual; why do you want to join this course and line or work.

Are you ok being away from home for long time, is your family ok.

What do you think is the most important thing as a cadet while you're on OJT ( I replied, learning and gaining as much experience. Talking with the senior crew to learn how to cope being away form home)

What will you do if you don't get in.

Do you know of any alternatives (wavelink maritime inst)

Special limits is within regional waters right?
Malaysia, Indonesia?

I think it will be quite different from ocean going cargo ships, you get to go home much more frequently and got Singapore mobile signal?
