Disconnect connect sound

My ip15 pro max makes disconnect and connect sound when I plug in the charging cable. Is this normal?

not sure i read u correctly.
meaning when the charging cable is still plug in, u are hearing intermittent sound of disconnecting from charge and connecting back to charge?

if that is the case, when the disconnect charge sound off (charging cable still plug in), checking the screen status, is it still charging?

If it’s one of those GaN chargers, I think with every removal or addition of client device, they will detect, recalibrate, then release the charging output again. May wanna see if this is the case.

If you plug in the cable and it gives you 2 chime sound, mean the iphone is fast charging.

1 chime sound: iphone is charging.
2 chime sound: iphone is fast charging.
3 chime sound: USB restricted mode. iphone can still charge but no data transfer.

If it doesn’t happen to your iPhone 13 then I doubt it’s that GaN thing. Could it be the cable isn’t securely inserted like due to phone case? Does the connect-disconnect sound always happen ?

Question:
15pm chiming twice when charging, with 65W ugreen GAN charger and original apple cable.
Same charger on the previous 13pm, never had this.
Also, 15pm charge via usb-c monitor with PD, also didn't chime twice.

It used to be to confirm fast charging. Now it’s mostly gone but does still happen.
When you plug it in it’ll charge slowly. Then it communicates with the ugreen charger and negotiates how fast to charge. Then it’ll switch to that fast charging. Some chargers don’t do it seamlessly, they’ll quickly stop charging slowly to switch to fast which causes the iPhone to be unplugged for a split second.
