Video: Discover the unknown Tainan

I live in Tainan now, and I would like to share my wonderful experience living here for the past 1.5 months.

Tainan is the place I call home , where is the first capital and the oldest city in Taiwan. Tainan is well-known for its mouth-watering street food, slow-pace life style, friendly people , endless temples , old buildings and more .

With its glorious history during 17th and 18th century , Tainan claims 1/4 of national monuments in Taiwan , where you could find all kids of God , like goodness of medicine , city , love , sea, wind , children , birth, water , business , and so on. Besides temples, food is another must-go attraction and is definitely for street food lover .

In Tainan, there is a flavor to every taste , wherever you come from , you will find the flavor what you love . In addition to temples, street food, Tainan has so much offer for visitors , like old architecture , cozy coffee shop, tea houses, century-old shop, secondhand bookstore, bustling traditional market, the beautiful sun set. Unlike other modern city in Taipei , Most of the buildings are less than 5 floors , so the skyline is not occupied by those modern ubiquitous skyscrapers . If you have a chance to pay a visit to Tainan, you won't find many departments stores , gift shops or places exclusive for tourists , instead, you could find many charming food stalls in the narrow street existed for locals.

The more days you stay here, the more you will understand why the legendary Taiwanese literature writers Yeh Shih Tao had ever said, " Tainan is a perfect place to work , to love , to marry , and to live worry-free."

Unlike Chou's shrimp rolls, Huang's shrimp rolls is local's one of local's favorite flavor. Shrimp rolls are usually made with deep fried fish paste with shrimps in the center.
