A mess after every implementation. From tray return to plastic bags and now 10c bottles….
Originally no problem, then go implement something to create problem. After that, just heck care the problem

Maybe next step is to tender for new rubbish bins with locking mechanism so that public unable to open and search for the bottles/cans.

Or install CCTV next to each rubbish bin.

Or engage cleaning services more often.

Won’t be surprise.

No problem go become problem. Simple stuff go become complicated stuff. What’s new?

Recently news keep showing people get how much get much mah. It's quite lucrative actually.
The other recycling metals can't compare except maybe higher quality copper wires. Even paper now is $0.10/kg , it's a no brainer to pivot over to pick BCRS cans
No wonder the rag and bone trade all disappear. Last time still have paper selling newspapers to them. Nowadays, no one even reads the papers. Even old TVs e-waste must call town council.

Got cctv.

If there is theft going on, it happens on the backend where the volume is massive, not at the collection points.

bought a drink, realized is 10c more ex, thought it was coz I bought the cold version.

later then realised is the 10c return.

when to machine, return, only accept DBS Paylah or SimplyGo ez-link card.

whip out my ez-link and scan, TMD, not accepted, coz mine is old type ez-link, cheesepie, got scammed 10c by pap.gov.sg
Must be "SimplyGo" EZ-Link Cards? Else 'No'? 🤔
GTHL! 🚽😑

Introduce this bottle tax. Rich people can afford to buy drinks and throw away, don't even bother to go machine claim refund.
Seeing many low income ppl benefit from this, bring large bags of recyclables to the machine and earn the cash.
Is this a form of wealth redistribution?
