Why at kopitiam I buy bottle from the stall, drink then I can’t return the bottle to the stall to collect back my 10c? Must bring the empty bottle with me until I see a return machine?

Brilliant ideas of scholars no

To educate the public the importance of recycling

Take Tian Ma group as an example, businesses like them they rely heavily on imports
from Malaysia.
I just now pass by the outlet in my area, even 4 days later their stocks are still rather empty.

Probably the boss piss off that they cannot import need to buy locally which mean more ex.
Since BCRS kick in, drink prices have went up even Tian Ma no more cheap already.
Well done NEA, I email them already I continue to raise questions with them.

Like some say this BCRS is anti-consumer and anti-business because someone at NEA
copy and paste UK Deposit return scheme.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...scheme-for-drinks-containers-policy-statement

This morning news is even more laughable Malaysia side more and more drinks have the 10 cent label
but cannot recycle here. :s13:
What a joke guess the scholar at NEA who submit the NCRS isn't Sinkie else the person
should know most of SG goods come from Malaysia not like UK locally produce.

Whoever this scholar at NEA is, come I give your 2026 appraisal.

Mostly correct. It is better framed as creating alternative income options and pseudo welfare without the need for direct government budget expenditure. It is a masterstroke at population management since the income opportunities are
far better than many welfare programs globally pay out. All from someone else’s trash.

a group of similar companies who agree prices between them in order to increase profits and limit competition:

operate/form a cartel Supermarkets were accused of operating a cartel on the price of many staple foods.
a banking/oil cartel
a price-fixing/illegal/drugs cartel

I noticed pokka green tea suddenly available in 1L tetra pak again, very long never see 1L tetra pak. On one hand support BCRS, on the other hand, they have non BCRS tetra pak packaging.
