Seems like we are paying more because we are lazy and not recycling rightly

Meanwhile other countries get to access to low cost items and polluting the planet irresponsibly

pap now is forcing me to buy 1.5l drinks instead of 500ml. End up have to carry more which can be consider a form of extra exercise

Ang mo countries still giving paper bags at least follow that.
When I was young, paper bags were non environmentally friendly cos of the trees they chop down - that’s how plastic bags became the alternative

Now plastic bags are not environmentally friendly but paper bags

it’s be just a circle where everyone feels good about themselves but ultimately, there is no actual change

Encourage people to recycle but make people pay extra for the product first then get back the refund.

Wonder who implemented this shxt. Dumb as f.
Nobody demanded accountability from the ministers who approved it mah

No objections during performance appraisal last year, means they should carry on whatever they are doing. No?

KNN as usual whenever Gov wants to implement a scheme.
Seriously they should not only consult Singaporeans but also do a Pilot.
Today I brought a drink from Cold Storage Bugis I kena extra charge of 10 cent
which make no sense seriously.

Pay extra than desposit in the BCR machine to get back?
Which scholar idea is this?
This idea is

If customer didn't kena extra charge than it make sense.
But they charge extra is....
Can opt out or not seriously.

This scheme deserve to be boycott, I wonder Kopitiam etc. places.
How they going to charged? They will tell you for example $1.50 + 10 cents extra?
Some uncle and auntie sure complain on the spot. :s13:
IMHO, a stupid scheme that waste money using "going green" as excuse!!!

Not singaporeans. Those that stay in condo and landed dont dump their own trash.

Its the helper who also don't give a damn about green earth and they just dump or mix together with the food waste. Who's monitoring all these actions?

In the end mainstream media just conveniently put residents aka locals lo taking the blame for not recycling correctly
You know in Taiwan they have specified time for rubbish collectors to collect rubbish

They ring bell so people come down
The collectors will check all recyclables are sorted correctly and not jumbled up
Think their condominiums etc they do it centrally

So they have a system to do it

Singapore under PAP is shite
Full of excuses why this can't work that can't work
They just want to continue with what they do
Which means every one dumps everything down chute with no regard to separating

So who's fault? Blame Singaporeans again or blame a lousy government

Wonder who earns at the end of the day? Supermarkets get the 10c but then do they need to pay BCRS entity ? Who ultimately gets the benefit if no one recycles the can / bottle?

The BCRS entity lor.
but if no one recycles the cans / bottles, rest assured the govt will increase the cost of the deposit, maybe from $0.10 to $0.50 😅

Apparently the drinks manufacturers pay 10 cents a bottle

When supermarket collects 10 cents from a buyer
Eventually it goes back to manufacturers I think

The plastic bag thing is same isn't it
It doesn't make it less plastic bags used but just makes you "think" of being green.... i mean what the Ffff
Yes same, same-same kind of stupid schemes...

Did SG become more GREEN because of these 2 newly-implemented schemes? I doubt it!

Want go GREEN, better get all those public buses and taxis and PHV vehicles all become EVs because they are running on the road everyday and consuming so much petrol and causing so much pollution!!!!! Especially many of these public buses and taxis are actually >10 years old and eat petrol like crazy...

And those lights on corridors of HDB flats that are turned on from 7pm-7am, changed all of them to motion-sensored and light-sensored LED lamps...

And there is really no need to have lamps on highways turned on from 7pm-7am! In most other countries, they have no lamps on highways (only reflectors)!

Also ban disposable plastic containers! Everyday so many of them are being used to ta-bao food and then thrown away! The amount and volumes of these disposable plastic containers waste are actually much more than the bottles they are trying to recycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Above are schemes/actions that can actual help a lot to go GREEN but nah, nobody voiced about them, not to say implement them! 🤦‍♂️
