my estate recyling collection day is once a week and every week on that day old people will appear from dunno where, pushing trolleys around and going through every house's recyclables bins

Folks, we the consumers are the ones that is indirectly giving the money we forgo to the "modern garang guni" doing this.

One of the core tenets is to drive behavioural change.

If me and u are throwing them down the rubbish for someone else to collate, I'm not so sure if any of our behaviors have changed.

Last time ppl throw drink cans into rubbish bin, then unker aunty pick and sell to karang guni man.

Now ppl still throw drink cans to rubbish bin, same unker aunty collect and throw into BRC for instant 10 cents.

So I want to ask this disgrace Fool, 到底 what is her objective of this stupid BRC ? Make the unker aunty collect money faster ?

People do not wash the cans and bottles. Transfer straight from trash bin to this machine.

End result is just another form of trash bin with contaminated contents that cannot be recycled and go straight to landfill. Zero percent recycling rate and white elephant that cost more money to clean and maintain.

Edit: those supermarkets who put the machines inside the store, good luck with pest control.
