I actually seen a cleaner in cleaner's uniform dumping 94 cans in machine

Pity the guy waiting behind him
Cos third world country people are oblivious
Even if you have 1 can only, they won't give way to you

And is this supposed to happen
The guy looks to be a street cleaner
So he likely "attacked" the dustbins for his 100 cans

So its likely 100 cans or $10 daily
And more on weekends

So thats like close to $400 monthly bonus

Thats when i saw the 94 number

For some reason he was acting very suspicious.
He kept looking at me when i did mine
And when i left like after 20 seconds in total he kept looking

Now we slowly see how the machine is a bottleneck. Then we see these machines occupying ex-ATM space. Then we see many people doing maintenance (to clear out the can/bottle), the we see big bins at rubbish area, then we see more lorry at rubbish area. Then you see me laughing to the bank as I offer to do free delivery from machine to recycling plants, then monopolize and charge a hand and a leg.

KNN SG does have draconian law certain policies like BCRS scheme.
If business/retailers never follow, jail what sort of logic is that.
I already wrote to NEA to clarify the goal of BCRS.

I forsee on October 1st that is within few weeks, many places will have cartons of beverages discarded
cuz they cannot sell these without label.
Very dumb logic, countries like UK required business and retailers to register their stocks and print the label
before 2027 which is the start date of UK Deposit Return Scheme.

UK have proper planning they don't force a idea up the command chain and demand Singaporeans to follow.
That is draconian law they expect people to follow and meet the deadline.
BCRS is not a recycling initiative just some civil servant idea that got approve so his/her appraisal for 2026 will look great.

What I worry now is what will happened on October 1st, by sharing this please do not camp at dustbin
for free drinks.
If it does happen blame NEA and whoever rush this BCRS scheme.

Already extended once.

Really cannot sell finish by deadline can buy the logo stickers from brcs consortium to paste on the beverage containers. This option was stated in news before start of the scheme.

BCRS also restrict competition and free market. There will be lesser variety of drinks on sale.

Don't thank me for this, to me as well as many we do question the motive of BCRS.
Especially what's the rush that I wrote to NEA and never thought they heard my concern that
they push out a extension.

How many retailers are in frantic rush to clear their stocks ahead of the October 1st deadline?
With less than 2 weeks time TBH is not enough that is why lucky NEA allowed further extension.
By than October 1st, stocks without lable will be given out.

For retailers and distributor these ex-stocks will lose in profits but what to do?
Don't comply go jail because you never comply.
That's why in my email I also say this BCRS is not a recycling initiative at all.

Just some civil servant idea got pass up the chain than made into law.
If you don't comply you go jail and this is draconian law.
A initiative like recycling should be voluntary basis and if force that is not a initiative but a order under law.

Business with stocks you haven't clear, do apply for extension.

Should be a lot of retailers calling them to make noise about the deadline.
They have to do something unless they want to lose a few GRCs.
The retailers still need to waste their time to beg for a extension ?

Just hire staff to stick labels on cans

And let's face it, its not expiring on 2 October and they have plenty of cans

So if staff can only do 600 cans a day, they have plenty of back up to meet.demand
