Its the easiest as well as the most difficult at the same time.
And alot depends on the marker.

Never passed in sec 3+4 except for grp work cause the teacher's favorite student in class is in my pal and in the same grp. Can see the teacher got a passion for literature but because the students all cannot appreciate so she force everyone to go the memorise and dump method. She was so worried that i will bring down the 100% passing target to the point she asked me to drop the subject.

"O" level i gave up on the subject and only took 1 hr to prep. Exam time i just wack and write what i felt. Really is 跟着感觉走......end up i think got B3 or A2.

Actually philosophy is different from literature

I can't explain it to you...but maybe if u free read a philosophy textbook

It is about trying to understand the world and is the father of modern science....it is kind of bs but then it does make u think deeply abt many things in this world

I think the oxford ppe is indeed a very good degree for young ppl .

But personally I would switch the politics for like management or psychology
Isn't animal farm about the world? It's 1984 lite.

It's not interesting at all maybe coz of the way teacher teach. She made the whole subject class damn horrible to attend. I dun miss it at all, not to mention liking it.
I think the same goes to all my classmates. Never hear anyone who likes literature. 🙅

Literature, like other subjects, is graded on a curve. It is only difficult to score if you are a worse student than others. The absolute difficulty of the subject doesn't affect grading.

Read 1984. This is super red pill book, tt SG kids will unlikely ever read if not for the curriculum. Lit has value.

I know what you mean lah....I "study" philosophy just reading from books...I have a keen interests in philosophy and psychology and like to "overthink". What sparked my interests is reading the friction "Sophia's world"....actually my eldest son in IP program, he did get to study philosophy in Sec 1, it is part of their curriculum. Because they do not need to take O-levels, these students can take all sorts of subjects.
