will let this die a natural death if no interest...

but just curious anyone waiting for new line up of monitors, especially those going for the new GPUs you got/are getting ?

One of the key upgrade is of course HDMI 2.1 to allow for 4K @ 120hz.

meanwhile 1 of the upcoming monitor is from.. u guess it, ASUS :D

For me, it's not really about res/4k, since I have 21:9 and 32:9 monitors. So, since both my monitors 21:9 34" Acer does Freesync 75Hz and my Samsung QDOT 49" 32:9 monitor does Freesync 2 144Hz, I can make do with either a 6800 or 6800XT, prolly the latter.

Another way overpriced Asus product.

I feel there is no need to get a high refresh rate 4K monitor at this point. The new GPU can somewhat manage the resolution, but they can't deliver high FPS consistently.

I got my monitor (see specs on right) for $429. It's 165hz QHD IPS. I just went to check the model you mentioned, it's 5xx and up right?
I was quoted $498 when I asked the salesperson for student discount.

GotBetrayed managed to get 1 at $489.

Want to see Windows start button burnt in to panel when web surfing? Or game HUD burn-in during prolonged usage? Or how about colors keep shifting hue/saturation due to changing peak brightness when doing colour-critical work (photo-editing, video-editing, etc)?

Go check out laptops with OLED displays, see what reviewers have to say about them for various usages.

Looks like Prism is really bad from the feedback.. but i guess their marketing is top notched, somewhat like secretlab... but there is another market that Prism is targeting which is the student range... my nephew is Sec 2 and already asking me about what monitor to get, how to build PC etc.. of course my brother wont spend so much for him, that's where budget priced stuff comes into the picture.

I have no issue with Prism+. Quality is great for me. I think the experience differs person to person. Their aftersales is top notch as well – I had my monitor for almost 1 year and I had to send it for servicing, they offered me an onsite 1-to-1 exchange immediately.

Home onsite or service centre onsite? :s22:

Other brand is Home (onsite) ;)
