Hi guys, was wondering where to start this thread, and since I'm into this for collecting, decided to do it in the hobby lovers section.

Very excited for this, even though the marketing seems to be targeted at younger children


Anyone sharing the same interest as me? Maybe we can trade power discs!! Hope can start a community here

Hi, just bought these yesterday! looks good and just like earlier versions of Skylanders, guess the purchases of the characters would burn a hole in our pockets! Never have a chance of seeing the power disc yesterday as was rather crowded, probably would drop by later in the week.

Great! Purchased mine on launch day too. Which console did you get for? I got the 3ds one. The gameplay, unfortunately, is different from the other consoles.

mine is for PS3. Have intention to get the 3DS for my younger child probably at a later date. We shall contact each other for the exchange of the power disc later on then as i guess very much those will be "di-kum" manner since each pack is unknown.

I'm thinking if I should start playing this game...what is the cheapest price of the starter game set?saw the cheapest price at $99 yesterday...anyone knows if toy's r us here selling the exclusive figure the McQueen or the exclusive power pack.

Like the following which buy one can get the second one at $1..the figure is 50% off for the second figure..

I'm pretty sure the Singapore Toys R Us don't carry it. Eyeing the crystal figure too, but i guess we only can import. $99 for the starter set is a good price. But if you intend to purchase more figures, there are some stores that offer 1 free character for buying the starter. It will probably be a better deal then.

How much are they selling 1 figure and how much they selling a set?

From my experience, the starters are usually between $10X-11X. Figurines are about $18-20 each.

And some places sell a 3 pack set (Sidekick set and Villain set) at cheaper prices. about $4X.

So the figure should purchase from toysrus usa as it is cheaper due to the promotion like buying 1 power pack and the second pack is $1..or buying 1 figurine and the second figurine is at half price..but it seems like not many people interested in this game or skylanders...

I did consider the USA toys r us offer, but you need to use services like vPost or CGW as they do not ship to singapore. All the shipping cost add up and the savings will be reduced quite tremendously.

I saw a place in united square had it on their Wii U leh

The figures are pretty good quality and paint job is great. Looking forward to them releasing the Marvel line since Disney owns the franchise.
