I don't think it is a limited offer, price is basically the same as buying from Disneyland itself, just that you can buy from the machine at Family Mart.

har? can. why not. i am based in Japan so I say "here" and mean Japan (thats why i put brackets) mah. You can buy at the ticketing booth in disneyland/sea, and various other places like family mart etc... 2 months in advance = earliest is 2months before the day you visit.

Can I buy the tix and use them ANY DAY within the 2 months period (i.e. open dated) or do I have to specify dedicated dates when buying?

I'm thinking of spending 1 day each at disneyland and disneysea on 5th & 6th Jan 2013. I think it's during the new year holiday break period and I'm not sure if it will be super crowded but I'm thinking it would be OK(?) as the parks are opened later till 10pm on weekends. Any advice if visiting on 5th & 6th is wise?

that weekend is the end of the sch holiday so hmmmmmm... the week after is long weekend. another thing to consider is that Jan is the coldest time of the year so maybe less people... but coldness applies to you too haha.

hmmm...sounds like worth a try to visit the theme parks during this period as most students who are going should (naturally) have done so by end of the sch break

Was in Osaka in Mar 2 yrs back. Temp went down to around 3 degrees on certain days. It was cold but still bearable. Online weather trends say Jan temp in Tokyo ranges between -2 to 10. I wonder if this is similar or maybe just a little slight colder than my experience in Osaka

I'll be there 3 - 10 Jan. Is it likely to snow during this period?

I bought my tickets online from the disneysea website. you purchase the tickets online then print it out in colour. it's like e-tickets.

You can try checking with JTB or NTA office. I got it thru JTB last year. There was a promotion I think.
