Display not showing for gpu.

I just gotten my new GPU n I plug in it into the monitor no display show? How I fix it?

Make sure you monitor input is for the right input type, and also did you make sure to connect the power plug to the GPU

TS, we do not know your rig parts and your new GPU. So guess work is kinda difficult.

even after you ensure that the power cable is connected for the gpu and it still does not show any display, you might want to find a higher watt psu. that 1080 is a high end card.. so possible that it require higher watt. just to be sure. after this steps are done and still no display. possible your gpu DOA.

650 w is more than enough for a 1080

i had came across similar issue before. the gpu box stated the min psu i needed for my system, which met but yet unable to boot/no display. it only work after i have increase my psu..

Yea theoretically 650W should be sufficient to power up the rig.
Since TS successfully receives visuals when plugged into mobo, I think we can safely assume the fault is isolated towards the gfx card

My thoughts are that either:
1) Faulty power delivery (wires damaged/psu ports faulty)

or

2) Gfx card is faulty

Hey guys can work already. I move my GPU around to 8x slot. But maybe later I try 16x

650W is more than sufficient for GTX 1080. It can even support a GTX 1080 Ti.
Maybe you can try these methods and see if it helps:
1). Make sure under your BIOs setting you have set your GPU option to "Auto" which it can auto detect whether it is a IGFX(Internal Graphics) or external/dedicated GPU.

2). Try resetting the CMOS or flashing the BIOs to the latest version just in case it got corrupted.

3). You may have contamination in the PCIe slot. Blow out the slot with compressed air from a canister and clean the terminals with Isopropyl alchohol 95%. Only do this with power turned off and Recheck your connections and that the card is seated properly.

4). Check the card in another system and if it works in that system then there is a problem with your Motherboard.
