Display problems

Hi all, need some help. My dads pc could not display the edges while on the desktop. I have tried changing various resolutions (it says use 1680 x 1050) but still cant fix it. Any idea whats wrong? Do i need to change the screen? Its a philips 22inch.

Photos would be great so that others can help u, but u could test out if u could move the mouse into those edges and see if it does sink in. Most probably is the monitor's problem already, might be time to change to a New one if no more warranty

use monitor built in auto adjust and ignore the above person
