Any Display port from 1.2 onwards support 144Hz.

Any Display port from 1.2 onwards support 144Hz.

And to play safe try getting those certified ones (or at least those with reviews to say it works). Got one from china (aliexpress) 1.2 but totally not able to output at required resolution.

As we all know there are a lot of cheap cables out there and they are exactly that - poor build quality. I only tend to use what comes with the monitors I purchased and if I need an additional cable I would source from a reputable supplier or even reach out to the manufacturer of my monitor. The manufacturer will not short cut this as it will create a bad impression of their product.

I have bought a lot of HDMI cables in the past and the QC is just BAD! The cable looks and appears solid but just does not work well. You may get a good deal on carousell for the cables you want as some people don't use the DisplayPort cable but check to make sure it came with a monitor.

Just go to sim lim shops like PCtheme, fuwell. They do sell what you want. Just let the sales person there know what you need.

I only buy that cables from that brand now. Anything cheaper is rubbish and more ex is overpriced.

No. Display port cables are types of cables to connect, compared to vga, hdmi, dualdvi. Different versions came out for better transfer speed, like 1.0 1.1 1.2.
As long as you can slot in, it is useable. Then next thing u want is the transfer speed. I think currently can find 1.4 or 2.0.

Dell u2312 is old i think. Even 1.2 or 1.3 dp cable will work fine.

Not a pro guru here. Might be wrong.
