Dispose bloated battery

Hi,

I got 4-5 bloated macbook battery. Wondering is it okay to just throw inside those blue recycle bin? Else how should I dispose them

recycling bin is not a hazardous waste disposal bin.

Don't worry, just throw it into the rubbish chute. Nothing will happen.

If it is Lithium-ion (Li-on) batteries then dump it at SH RENEW bins. These bin can be found in many shopping mall or CC.

Any Apple retail store should take them in, probably cleanest green option too.

Please do not throw bloated battery into the chute. Bloated battery can cause fire hazards once it burst....


the blue bin is for recycle-able or re-usable.....not for electronic waste.
electronic waste can cause harm to the environment, so need to be treated in special way to re-use/recycle.

Put your electronic waste in the Starhub bins. I think it's a very good project. Can put in ziploc or plastic bag before throwing it into the bin.
