Distorted screen on start up

Hi,
My comp on start up the screen distorted and wavy and hung, need to switch off from the main switch to restart, and start nicely, this is the 2nd time alr. Whats wrong? Is the mb gone?. The comp is abt 5 years old. Running OS win10. Thanks.

oh ok, ya probably it might be mobo failing. have u tried with other cables and see?
