You are buying HSBC ADR which has lower yield than the HSBC listed in HK since share price is cheaper in HKSE
I used IB. The dividend normally 0.51 usd or 0.5 usd per year, you can check it against current price.
The management has promised consistent dividend payout(absolute amount) and they are selling non performing assets to improve earnings and at the same time doing sharebuybacks.
You can keep a look out for its third quarter result. I have plan to raise my stake to at least 10 k shares in HSBC, so my view may be biased.
