Hi all,

Any recommendations for 1.5k budget just for cpu.

Can I reuse my Lancool K62 case or buying a new 1 better? Any other parts can reuse?

Have OS win 7 HP.

My specs are listed on the right

Thanks

1) Name all games that you are playing.

2) Your rig still looks pretty good to me, why not just upgrade your GPU and add in a SSD instead, save lots of $$$.

Normally would recommend 4460, but your overclocked sandy is slightly more powerful, new processor would be a downgrade. Like alternative said, get a zotac 970 for 448 and a ssd and you're good to go

EDIT: currently crucial m550 is on sale on amazon.
256gb for 95 usd and 512gb for 175usd delivered.

Thanks for all the advice.

Will my mobo and psu be able to take gtx970? I read the Zotac will warp cos no backplate, how true is it?

I only play wow and d3.

For ssd, which is more stable? Crucial m550 or intel 730 (was looking at marketplace)

1.5k gaming pc is overkill for wow and d3.

Can even play BF4 and ultra setting which is way more intensive than wow and d3, unless you don't mind spending it.

I got the 256gb @ $90.

Thank you for all the advice.

I'm thinking of waiting for gtx 960, see if it can save me some $$ for a future full system when time comes.

You can always go for 280 which is at great price or like you said wait for 960 and eventually the prices will be even lower :D

Why new full system tho? Unless is 2nd rig, you are not getting any performance boost, other then graphic card. Your pc is plenty powerful.

Sandy cpu's are great and will last for a few more years at least.

Congrats on the ssd, the m550 really fast, faster than mx100 and 840 evo
