Morning guys, need some(any) suggestions regarding a pc that i have attempt to build from scratch (looked through many price-list and some reviews). This build cost about 1.2k, best if can suppress it lower, else that is the highest i can go. The build will be mainly use to play games(at high setting), some video/game rendering, and programming. Oh, i am using dual 27' monitor too (if that is something to consider). Alright, here it goes. Thanks in advance!

Parts/Prices based off PC Themes
Mobo Bundle:
ASRock B85M Pro4 + 4460 - $364
GFX:
Sapphire R7 260x - $179 (Wanted a GTX750 Ti, but abit over budget)
HDD:
WD Green 2TB - $107
SSD:
Corsair Force LX SSD - 128GB - $105
RAM:
HyperX 1866 2x8GB - $235
PSU:
Seasonic S12II 520W - $85
Chassis:
CM Elite 431/K350 - ~$60
OS:
Win 7 64Bit - $120
---------------------
Total : $1255

Thanks in advance for all the help!!

Primary uses:
Gaming, all kind of games including but not limited to FarCry 4, Assassin Creed, LoL etc etc
Graphic/Game rendering (basic/minimum), i do play around with game engines (Unreal Engine) and stuff, and i am a programmer(creative side) myself, so yea.

4 x 4gb? I can recycle my old pc, thus i dont have the need for a dvd drive or even casing, but i am not really sure about the difference between 2 x 8gb and 4 x 4gb. Many recommended using just 2 of it.

No diff, just that by getting 2x 8gb, u will have the option to upgrade in the future if needed.

the biggest diff now.. is the price.... coz rams are not cheap unlike last time..
also... if ur mb has 2 slots.. its 8x2 or 4x4 is the max
if ur mb has 4 slots its 8x4 or 4x8

Sapphire - 2yrs warranty
Powercolour - 3 yrs warranty.

Other than that, cooler might differ by 1-2 degC nia..

I recommend powercolour. Slightly more ex than sapphire but 1 more local year warranty.

dual monitor? at least 1gb vram is needed just in case... if ur gaming more will be needed. connectors take note too..
the diff will be clock speed and connectors

i thought of that too, but there's alot of debate over the differences in upgrading a 280 to 970 right? or am i mistaken? =/

Ask yourself what kind of games you intending to play. Are you those type, AAA game title release today tomorrow buy that kind?

Are you those that will love every single detailed graphics out there?

This are they things you have to look at before deciding the jump from 280 to 970.

Hey, if you are only doing basic rendering/programming, consider working with one stick of 8gb ram first? It will still work well as long as its not the primary usage of the computer. use the ~$90 savings for a better graphics card like zotac/palit 970.

Later on when got more money, and you feel like 8gb confirm not enough, its easy to add another 8gb stick.

Just an idea :)

Thanks for the input, I definitely would consider that. but previously one of the hwz member was saying about gpu compatibility with dual monitor, is there any issue with 970? (using dual monitor of 27")
