1) Name all software that you are using with this rig.

2) Ever considered buying a NAS or building a seperate NAS rig running NAS4Free or FreeNAS instead? These things also do RAID 0 storage as well.

3) Need mouse?

CPU+ Mobo: ASROCK H87M PRO4 + i5 4690 (424)
RAM: 2X G.SKILL/KINGSTON PC 12800/1600MHZ DDR3 CL11 VALUE RAM (8GB) (200)
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO 250GB (179)
HDD: 2X WD 1 TB RED (178)
DVD-RW: LG 24X DVD-RW SATA OEM (25)
PSU: FSP AURUM S 500W (89)
Case: DEEPCOOL TESSERACT (65)
OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM (120)
Monitor: DELL 23" S2340L (199)
KB&M: LOGITECH MK100 (21)
Networking: ASUS PCE-N15 (59)

Total cost: $1559

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, get PC Themes to assemble for you for a fee.

Notes:

1) Not sure if APAC supports hyperthreading, the fastest i5, the i5 4690, is used instead. (The GUI and the legacy OS support........)

2) The H87M Pro 4 comes with Intel LAN and RAID support.

3) The 840 Evo SSD is used to allow you to enjoy fast boot times and fast loading times and enabling you to open and save large files quickly.

4) Not sure how much HDD space do you need, do remember to upsize your HDD accordingly. The WD Red HDDs are used as they are designed for usage in NAS and RAID arrays.

5) The Asus PCE-N15 is good for up to 300Mbps of data transfer speeds. Can also consider the TP-Link WN781ND ($35) if you think the Asus adapter is too much for you. The WN781ND is good for up to 150Mbps of data transfer speeds.

Oops apparently I was fed the wrong information and it wasn't APAC but AccPAC lol =:p (Was wondering why such a software was being used)

Does that require any changes in the system build? Sorry for the trouble :o

Sage AccPAC, is it? Also the same build, dunno if hyperthreading is supported or not, also no budget for i7 anyway.
