DIY Build - Budget ~800

Hi all,

Need your advise.. first time posting here; I am planning to build DIY for light gaming, programing and normal usage.

CPU + MB - MSI B85M-G43 + i5 4670
RAM - 4GB x 2 Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
SSD - Samsung EVO 120GB SSD
GPU - Asus GTX 650 1GB Ti
PSU - Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze
Case - CM 120 M-ITX
No need: ODD, keyboard, mouse, monitor, OS
Total: do you think can get within 800? Anything that I should change?

I have few questions :
1. Do I need to buy extra wireless card to connect to wifi?
2. Do I need to buy sound card, or its built in with MB?

$800 cant give you whatever you mentioned there.

Now the above is $706 without a gfx, think carefully wad sort of games u might be playing..for CM 120 case u need a mini itx motherboard or else u cant fit it into it

With your budget you won't be able to fit in a soundcard de. Just use onboard audio.
Yes you can use SSD without HDD but you sure you enough space ma?

I am ok with SSD only, as I will just use it for OS and some small applications. the rest of data will be on external HDD..

I am interested to build based on Jian19 below:
i5-4570 + Gigabye GA-h87n-wifi itx ~ $406
Kingston 8gb value ram ~ $90
Hitachi 500gb ~ $60 (changed to ssd?)
CM 120 ~ $89
Fsp hexa 500w ~ 58

Any recommendation for gpu that will fit to the casing? light gaming, maybe like starcraft/cs (not a gamer yet) haha..

Basically what im gonna say is that do you know that what you are paying for an ITX build Small form factor PC, you could get a good mobo but slightly bigger in size and yet cheaper?

For instance, MSI B85m G43 + i5-4570 ~ $356 still delivers the same things.

And fyi ITX in future upgrades or expansion it is difficult to do as lacks of PCIE slots. A sound card needs 1 pcie x1 slot. Which obviously an itx board do not have. ITX has only 1 pcie x16 slot. Which is used for gpu only.

So reconsider and think about the form factor first.

CM120 is a SFF itx chassis.

There are several non itx chassis to look at. A mid tower size can consider a few good ones out there.

Some ppl like small form factor build Mah cute cute and not so heavy

Might wan to consider CM 130, abit more expensive put can put more stuff

For gfx if u light gamer just get a 7750 ($120) , it's a good entry gaming card
