Hi all,

I have came up with this rig mainly used for gaming for games like Battlefield and Assassins creed at 1920x1080 or higher and this prices are mostly from Bizgram and was wondering if there is anything else to improve.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 @ $398
MB: Asus Z97-A @ $265
RAM:Corsair Dominator Platinum 1600MHz 8GB @ $149
GPU: Gigabyte WindForce GTX 970 GDDR5 @ $579
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 Pro 128GB@ $170
HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB 7200 RPM @ $102
PSU: Corsair CS750M 80+ Gold Modular@ $159
CASE:Fractal Design Define R4 @ $145
COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212x @ $57

Total: $2024

For the GPU, I may be looking out for SLI next time and was wondering if this would be worth the cost. Also, as I may not be using the processing power of i7 so much, I am also thinking of getting the i5-4690k instead. Right now I don't really have a budget in mind right now and will just be considering what is recommended and buy accordingly.
Thanks all.

1) Are you overclocking?

2) Would be a better idea to focus on single GPU setups because by the time you want to SLI your GTX 970, there may be a single GPU solution that has a performance superior to a dual SLIed GTX 970 setup. Proper SLI stuff are not cheap either.

3) Must your GPU be from Gigabyte? Gigabyte's GTX 970 are the most expensive GTX 970 in the local market.

4) Must your motherboard be Asus? There are cheaper alternatives avaliable from other brands.

5) You open to buying from other shops other than Bizgram?

I don't think so.

So I would just get a 970 for now and upgrade when one that is better comes out?

Not really, what other brands do you recommend?

4) Must your motherboard be Asus? There are cheaper alternatives avaliable from other brands.

I don't really mind getting our brands but I am not really what other brands are good

5) You open to buying from other shops other than Bizgram?

Yes, as long as it is easy to purchase (like a physical shop and can just pay and god)

At bizgram the price for 256 is $280 while 128 is 170 so is it really worth the $100 to upgrade to the 256?

Bizgram prices are overpriced. Look at lazada.sg or pc themes.

Not even worth stepping into their shop.
