Asrock H81m HDS i5 4460- 320
Ram- 2x 4gb- 100
WD Black HDD- 99
HX 600m Gold PSU-99
CM N200- 60
Wi-Fi card- 75
Win7-120
DVD RW- 25
Dell monitor- 200
GPU-??

I am not intending to get a SSD first, leaving it for future upgrades.

Is the H81 mobo good enough for my usage ?( I don't intend to OC my gpu or gpu nor do I intend to SLI or cross fire). I am just a little worried with h81 not able to support the new gen Intel properly. Worth spending a little more for the H97 for stability ?

Excluding the GPU my build costs around 1.1k , My max budget is 1.5k maybe I can stretch a little more. Is it really worth going for the 970 series? I do casual gaming and do not mind dropping my settings to med in future when AA titles are release. the 970 series prices fluctuate from 450- 580,which will be the more reliable one if I will to get 970? Or rather the r9 280 or gtx 760 suits my usage more.

I am currently using a 1-2 years old acer 19inch 1366 x 760p monitor, is the 199 dell Monitor really worth the upgrade from my current one or I can wait a little longer? thinking that If I can save up the monitor money then I can afford a better GPU.

Hoping for advices regarding this dilemma:s12:

if me i get the r9 280 and drop the monitor and use your acer monitor for now and swap the wd black for blue
edit: since you say budget 1.5k get the zotac gtx970? but still swap wd black for blue.

What is lan trunking? Well my house been around for 20 years so I suppose the cables inside are pretty old.. A wifi card will do better I think. Just to confirm the h81m asrock mobo can fit in one wifi card along with the gpu right ?

Lan trunking is to pull the LAN cables from your router to your computer so that your computer will be accessing the web wired.

Wired connection is alot more stable and will not have a drop in the internet speed unlike Wi-Fi.:s13:

Lazy men's method, just use a super long lan cable and connect from your router to computer.

The bluetooth tongle only use for speaker hor the wireless keyboard and mouse don't require that right ?
There should be a wireless USB dongle that will come with the wireless KB & M set that allows your rig to communicate with the wireless KB & M.

Thanks everyone for the replies :s12:

One more question: does the Asrock H81m HDS have front USB ports? Does not matter is it 2.0 or 3.0. The specification site did not state that clear regarding this.

To people who are using this mobo how long you all been using it is there any problems u all encounter?
