Im wanting to build a desktop mainly for basic/intermediate video editing and surfing the net/youtube, warch movie. Dont game so no need OC.

Any recommendations on hardware specs pls?

Not a video editing person, but should probably get Ryzen over Intel CPU. R5-1600 probably. GPU can get GTX1060.

Not sure if RAM is important from video editing, can get advice from the other bros here.

RAM : Kingston 2133MHz ValueRAM 8GB ($89)

Prices from PCThemes pricelist. If you source components from different shops/lazada/qoo10 can save a considerable amount.

OS : Windows 10 from Carousell ($10-20)

Assuming no need monitor or other peripherals

Need 16 gb of ram. Video editing suck ram very fast. Especially when editing bigger files. Adding another 8gb ram will be beneficial. Plus after discount, the price overall can be negotiated to 1.2k or even lesser depending where you go.
