Hi guys,

Need many help from experts here to advice me what to get for a desktop mainly for streaming 1080 using hdmi from pc connect to smarttv, surfing net and bt.

ssd
3 x 4tb hdd
kb + mouse
win7

PS: If i wish to copy out all my 3 x 4tb hdd movie, photos and mp3s to a new hdd, is there a simpler ways to do so?

I kept most of the US drama and movies i bt. I also collect variety shows. Mostly downloaded thru youtube or streaming sites. Didnt delete them away, the storage just kept growing haha. Hence wanted to get a bigger storage.

You guys delete away things you dl and watched immediately? And is it not advisable having so much storage in a desktop? And is 12tb really sounds a lot? I dont play pc game thou.

I started with 4tb wd green, and ended with 3 x 4tb 4 years later today. Collected those dramas i like. I re-watch most of them at least 2 times. Too sayang to delete them away, thus my storage is only growing and never decreasing. I've thought of NAS, but i got zero knowledge on it. The only method i can think of is increasing the capacity of my hdd. But ended up it sounded too "weird" here?? Haha..

I'm waiting for netflix to be launch in SG lo.

I started with 4tb wd green, and ended with 3 x 4tb 4 years later today. Collected those dramas i like. I re-watch most of them at least 2 times. Im a hardcore drama/movie fan. I've been buying bluray to replace those movies in my hdd, worrying one day one of the hdd crashes. Hence the thought of replacing the current hdds.

By the way, im sure im not the only one with so much storage. What do you guys store huh? I've seen many of you whom bought >6tb hdd..really all store prawn only ah?

BD like CD/DVD will peel and spoil.
I don't store or backup after throwing away over 600x CD 10 years ago.
A few HDD crash helps too.
I watch and delete.
No point storing cos i know i wont rewatch them.
