Hi all,

After the advice by the bros here, decided to build a gaming cum workstation (non design nor programming, just research and ms office ). Games are mainly cs go, cod, bf.
Budget about 1.1k to 1.3?

Hope to last about 2-3 years or interchangeable between
Thanks!

Its comparable with the gtx660 overclocked

Comparing current standards

Gtx750ti < r9 270/x < gtx760

TPLINK WDN3200 N600 Dual band USB wireless adapter.

I see. If can up budget, Cause I don't plan to upgrade for at least 2 years, should
get the 750ti, gigabyte or which brands is better?
No built in option for wireless adapter? Is wireless USB strong enough cause my router is quite far.

DO not expect the full 300mbps from it... It depends on your environment, such as walls, interference from other 2.4ghz appliances, neighbours' routers n all...

If can get half of your plan's speed, its considered quite gd le..

RAM is random access memory. This is what the PC needs to run applications and programs.

HDD is a hard disk drive. This is a storage for your PC to store all your stuffs.

2 different things.

why need 2?

Ram is for the CPU memory, not storage.

Oh sorry,
I saw some other places they include
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB
&
HDD 2TB for Storage ~ $128

Both are for storage, one HDD, one SSD.
Why need two?

-regards

SSD is faster in terms of performance n speed, as compared to HDD. So, put ur impt programs in SSD and movies, music, videos into HDD.

Also, certain games may benefit from SSD, such as BF4, where you load faster than others and can kope vehicles earlier than others.

SSD stands for solid state drive

HDD stands for Hard disk drive

This 2 are different drives but serves the same purpose. Usually SSDs are meant for Operating system and programs. There is no mechanical parts. They are faster by almost 5 times.

HDD is used mainly for storages. Good for movies, musics, photos, and other files.

SSD provides the overall stability of the OS and also the good responsiveness OS. Fast boot up and shutting down. Playing games also reduce loading time.

BF4?
I only got 1 BF, don't need 4BF. lol.
Ya, i got it thanks.
Guess perhaps i just include the SSD in my list and use back my old HDD for music and video.

Lastly i saw people using
G.Skill DDR3-1600MHz 8GB (2X4GB) ~ $77 {total of 8GB}
But they use the
Windows 7 home premium 64bit oem 16GB $110
Why not use home basic 64bit??? (8GB) since only 8 GB of ram is used.

Home basic may not offer what u need. Usually, home premium will cover whatever features u gonna use.

Fast download is dependant on ur internet, nt so on your ssd/hdd. Unless u r able to download at 1gbps in which your ssd will reach saturation point..

Exactly, currently i using myrepublic PURE 1gb.
But my computer is 4-5 years ago kind, 2G Ram .
kinda affect my download/upload.

By using USb 3.0 for the SSD and other external HHD will be faster overall right.

USB 3.0 for my mouse and keyboard as well?
