Hi,

First time DIY. Rig should be able to play latest game like Fallout 4 and SW Battlefront.

My budget is 2k.

This is what I learn from the internet and based on prices from PCTheme.

Asus Z170 Pro Gaming with i5-6600K = 639
G.Skill DDR3 16Gb = 195
MSI GTX 970 4Gb Gaming = 600
Corsair CX600W 80 plus Bronze = 117
Samsung EVO 850 250Gb = 169
Coolmster Hyper 212X CPU Cooler = 69
Asus 24x DVD-RW Disc Drive = 25
NZXT Phantom 240 Casing = 139

Total already $1953.

Am I a bit overkill with the parts above because I always see you guys can rig one at $1500.

Besides, I suspect I may need a few more things I did not consider like

HDD: Current I only use 250Gb in my laptop and it is sufficient liao. So I don't think I need HDD.

Sound card: Do we still need this nowadays?

Wi-fi Card: Again, do we still need this nowadays?

Is there anything else I miss? I have monitor already. Need comments from the experts here. Thanks.
