Would you recommend changing iPhone 6 battery ourselves using iFixit kit? Anyone has done it?

Precisely! If anything goes wrong, Apple will deny you service. Not worth it at all.

I've actually changed it on older iphones and it is super easy. Can get it done within minutes. iPhone 6, however, is a little different I believe.

I know Apple has the $38 offer now but have to go without phone for 3-5 days.

Nope. I changed it myself. You could buy a new battery that comes along with a kit for $20 on Lazada. Keep in mind this is old iPhone 5, so it didnt bother me using non-original battery.

Took me less than 5 minutes to change it up. Youtube has instructional videos.

DIY man, save the time. It doesn't have any water-resistant seal so less hassle there.
