adv:
1) if things have stock den buy 1st can keep till u have all the parts up and start building.
2) later the coupon minimum increase and u still need to add more stuff to hit the target.

dis:
1) need to keep tracks of parts wty period.
2) may feel depress of the price drop on the next period
3) OOS stock of the product need to ask a lot of qns for a similar product.

anyway still up to u.

But problem is that if warranty expire I need to send overseas to fix? Mainly concerned with those like qoo10 with $100 off, but also maybe anticipating Black Friday Sales.. T-T; dilemma.. Likely to drop within 1 month? Also, any experience with NZXT Hue?

If warranty expire, buy new parts lo. It ain't worth it to spend money for certain parts to be shipped overseas for servicing.

Haha.. but computer parts not cheap sia..

It really depends on what parts u are looking at.

Mobo, gpu, cpu and hdd are typically 3 years.
Psu can stretch to 5.
Ram is lifetime.

If really suay suay spoil, by then the technology would have caught up and sending it for servicing might not be worth it as u are getting back something that could be obsolete in a few years time. Usually, these things will last 4 years. I have a old pc that lasted 8 years so yea.

ya so? send overseas u also dun have to pay...
it's how long the item takes to come back to u only.

1 for 1 just minimizes the downtime.

I previously using a 6600 and a h170 asus gaming board.

Changed to 6600k and a z170 board and overclocked to 4.6ghz

My fps did increase(game dependant of course, some games are more cpu bound)

And if its for gaming..no point getting an i7. Most games wont make use of the extra 4 cores from hyperthreading.

So if u are thinking between i5 6500 and 6600k..definitely 6600k since u can overclock further if u are using a z170 board. If u not getting a z170 den of course a i5 6500 is fine.

And u can also just get a 6600 non k and pair with a z170 board and overclock too if u know how. Did it with my 6600. Just got to downgrade motherboard bios. Overclocked my non k 6600 to 4.5ghz

to add one not everything they can 1 for 1 for the 1st year unless they tested really its their fault and stock available, but still depends on distro policies. some might send for repairs. and 2nd year or 3rd (depends on the product) will be sending overseas for repairs.

Yeah I am deciding i5-6500 H170 Asus Pro Gaming / i5-6600K ASUS Z170A / 6600K MSI Z170 Gaming M5.

But I am leaning to the H170 because it is unlikely that I will overclock :) Read reviews about the boards being bad but I think with warranty that will be ok.. but hope none got problem..

I thought 1 for 1 only for 1 week?

its one of the distributor for PC component in SG, but all the parts u get are not from them, so u dun have to think about it.

well tbh its really base on each distributor rights and stock availability, so long your pc setup swee swee, check everything is fine and try it 1 week ~ 1 mth no issues, pray hard that its survive 5 years later . :s8:

Haha yes that is true.. As long as set up swee swee and last.. I have no problems. Just quite worried because current PC has faced 3-4 mobo problems over the past 6 years+ .. That's my main concern also haha. But pray all goes well!

pc can last 5 years is more than enough, but gaming 2 years is the max for high settings, after that u have to go medium or low.
