DIY PC build [Need Advice]

Hi all, as a First time DIY builder i need some help here with a DIY rig.

Due to some circumstances, i will be attempting a build with a used In Win 805 Infinity case. Was given to me.

As someone who's nvr built a PC before, this case looks terrifying!! looks fragile as hell.

so i'm just looking for something that will last me the next 5 years or so.

• main weekday usage will be surfing/streaming on chrome.
• for games i'm mostly on vanilla skyrim and intending to pick up nier automata and deus ex mankind.
• 1080 gaming, just medium to high graphics setting is enough for me.

would i be able to put together something decent with a 1.2k budget? willing to try AMD ryzen if its more cost effective.

Thanks for the quick reply! If I don't intend to OC, the stock CPU and case fan should be fine right? Reviews abt this case all complain abt bad airflow. The HDD bay sits on top of the only air inlets. Will be using in nonAC room

Stock hsf and case fan should be fine. I'm using stock hsf also in non-ac room too. Still can oc all 6 cores running 3.75 GHz no issue.

For the fan that got blocked by the hdd cage, change the position of the fan and perhaps use a static pressure optimized fan like the Gentle Typhoon to push air over it.

Stock hsf and case fan should be fine. I'm using stock hsf also in non-ac room too. Still can oc all 6 cores running 3.75 GHz no issue.

alright noted. will see if it's possible to reposition either the HDD bay or fan.

another alternative would be to get a bigger SSD and remove the HDD. worth it to drop the graphics card to a GTX1050 to tradeoff for bigger SSD? I've checked and it seems 1050 able to run above 30fps for most games.

Just checked your case. Your hdd cage can be repositioned. So you don't need to downgrade the gpu. I would say not worth to downgrade the gpu. Spoil the experience if a new rig.
