RAM = Corsair Vengeance 2400Mhz 4GB x 2
SSD (OS) = Corsair Force LX 128GB

what is the resolution of the photos u are editing? if its not super high res like uhd 4k then even haswell igp should be good enuff...

and why do u need a water cooler for an office pc? lol is that pc going to be in the desert or next to the aircon condenser where its super hot? :D

also since u want an office pc that will last a long time, i suggest u get an intel oem branded mobo instead of asus. asus is not well known for their mid and low end boards. only super high end rog series.

on the other hand, intel brand mobos are built like workhorses with branded japanese capacitors and made to last. i've heard reports on the net about intel mobos running 24/7 for 7 years and never hang not even once. try contacting chamoxa (they moved to woodlands i think) to see if they can bring in intel brand mobo for u if not get those msi military class mobos.

IGP is enough. Change PSU to seasonic instead of thermaltake.

No need for "military class" mobo its marketing gimmick. Just buy cheap ones from asrock with solid caps

Terrible choice when Skylake Core i3 is already here....

i nv really go and read skylake onboard graphic performance.... but b4 skylake graphic performance sure APU wins...... office stuff dun need CPU power... though multicore will be needed for like many applications, like outlook, word, excel, browser all open at the same time.....

Much higher single thread performance is more relevant here and its hyperthreading is able to scale to on par with AMD A10 Godavari APUs. Likewise for Haswell Core i3. Meanwhile, Intel HD Graphics 530 also got faster for Photo editing with better performance. Last of all, Core i3 combo is a good $100 cheaper than rivalling AMD A10 build now, which is on same price segment as even faster quad core Core i5.

What kind of extent is the photo editing gonna be?

Just simple editing, not extensive.

Actually if Haswell + GT730 vs Skylake with HD530, is topping up abot more for a dedicated GPU better than onboard HD530?

Using Photoshop or Paint? :look:

Low-end graphics card like GT 730 wont make much difference though...
