why not just go ryzen?question
is there any reason why one should get 265k over 14700k?
majority of my workload is productivitywhy not just go ryzen?
other than the storage drives and maybe the case, it would be fairly difficult to salvage most of the parts especially if the dead part has not been diagnosed. the midrange suggestion in the 1st post is an an entirely different socket anyway, so nothing much that can be salvaged. Is there anything i can salvage from the above pc other than the case to upgrade to today's midrange gaming standard or i should just buy a pre-built one from Invader?
so far thats one of the better deals.I want to get back into some gaming, but i mainly only play games like factorio, minecraft and Forza motorsport 5.
Budget for pre-built is around $1.5-1.6K which i'm looking at something like the MASTER M36 from Invader and would expect it to last for 3-4 years at least.
better multicore performance for lower power consumption.is there any reason why one should get 265k over 14700k?
should be fine, the versions match for both the international and chinese websites. ive also flashed msi boards ive gotten from taobao with international bios without issue.planning to purchase motherboard and processor from taobao for my new build and would like to check if there will be any issues with bios flashing for asus board
every time i go sls there would be people doing just that, so i would assume so, else they would have close shop long time ago.Nowadays do people still go sls to select parts to build pc? Planning to build a new pc.
thk u for the confirmationshould be fine, the versions match for both the international and chinese websites. ive also flashed msi boards ive gotten from taobao with international bios without issue.
Football manager is cancelled this year i thinkHi Shifus, need some help with my first ever sff pc. I plan to play GTA6 on this and am playing other moderately intensive games such as Last of Us Remastered and Ready or Not. Also am a big fan of Football Manager.
Am planning to get a new 1440p monitor to match this rig, all comments appreciated. Thank you.

Psu: THERMALRIGHT TR-SGFX 850W ATX3.1 80+ GOLD SFX Modular Psu
the ncase m2 is about 15l, i wouldnt consider it sff especially when similarly sized matx cases can be had for much cheaper, along with saving on mobo and psu costs.Case: Ncase M2

if ur already spending this much on a 78x3d + 5070ti, u might as well go all the way and get better quality versions of these parts, especially the psu. the ram isnt a huge concern as x3d doesnt need high speed memory to do well, but good cl30 kits arent much more expensive. i would suggest u also consider having a good 1tb nvme as os drive, the p3 plus is only really good as a storage drive.Ram: G.Skill Flare X5 BLACK 6000MT/s 32GB(16GBx2) CL36 Kit

Thanks for your expert advice as always NightRaven. Can I check what would you mean by better quality versions of the other parts please?the ncase m2 is about 15l, i wouldnt consider it sff especially when similarly sized matx cases can be had for much cheaper, along with saving on mobo and psu costs.

ram - kits with tighter memory timings, closer to cl30 or less. but as mentioned previously not a huge concern for x3dCan I check what would you mean by better quality versions of the other parts please?
personally i would go for something like this case i got off taobao recently, the shiny snake g300:I really like how the NCase M2 look but am wary of the additional costs involved with it. Was also considering the fractal terra but was put off with the high thermals for it.
