Cause I was plying through Ps threads, and some were saying how scratching can still leave their 120GB ssds choked for space

I face that problem all the time. Running on single Intel 520 120GB SSD for OS, left abt 10GB of free space. So my OS usually runs out of space quickly when i edit photos in Ps or edit video in Premier Pro or After Effects. My solution is to 'clean up' the cache after a round of photo editing by using Disk Space Finder program (by Intelliconcepts) to locate the cache and delete cache.

So this is my cheap way out. Of course, if u got the money, y not buy another SSD for scratch disk? :)

Just a suggestion, I'd rather you go with a standard ssd +hdd configuration. Use the ssd for scratch and then clearing cache. The cost of speed difference with having a dedicated scratch ssd IMO is not justified.

Then she still still face the same issue. Unless her mac is old one. ;)

What same issue?

Btw, sic for people out there: Laser is selling the Intel 7260AC desktop kit at $79. Don't pay $20 extra for the same thing at choppermind

Not really Mac is designed for it. More like ps is more optimised on OS X than Windows.

Might be getting 1tb ssd from Samsung, 850 series. Catalog too big for 256GB esp growing n also, other programs installed. For now, I put it in another drive, some time quite slow.

Just for fun only, mostly using LR5. PS too hard for me to understand, even I subscribe for it. I will terminate once subscription over and back to LR.

You don't understand what you are saying. If you are competent, Mac or PC will do.
