Hi,
I am building a pc for my father for casual gaming, internet surfing and video streaming.
I hope to reuse my coolermaster 460w psu, 2g Kingston ddr3 ram and 500gb WD hdd
HDMI port required to connect to the tv.
Budget is about 400+
Any assistance is appreciated.

CPU+ Mobo: ASROCK H81M-HDS + G3240 (156)

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, get PC Themes to assemble for you for a fee.

Notes:

1) The Asrock H81M-HDS has a HDMI port for you to connect the system to the TV.

2) The 2GB stick of RAM is intended to be used together with your current stick of RAM.

3) The Plextor M6S SSD is intended to be used as an OS drive to allow for faster boot and loading times.

Any recommendations for Asus motherboards instead?
Thanks
Can keep your Cooler Master PSU for something else...

CPU+MB: Intel Pentium G3240 + ASUS H81I PLUS @ $171
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1333 CL9 2GB @ $29
CASE+PSU: In Win BM650 [Black] + Powerman IP-AD180-2 180W [80 Plus Bronze] Flex ATX @ $109
Go small, go neat.
At just 6.8 litres.
You simply cannot find any smaller ones that can still fit in a full fledge 5.25" ODD.

Total: $309

Optional:
SSD: SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB @ $98

Buy from Tradepac, #05-18. Haggle for discounts.
