Zreo_chaos. I'm trying to learn more about the mobos features as well. Mine giving a brief explanation on the various ports that you have listed?
Well for new skylade MB they comes with so many extra features that offers better system upgrades that is consider a future product.
M.2 slots is some how like an expansion slots like what u inr MB below parts of it. It allows you to install either an expansion card(wifi card), or SSD card (which in turns were to sacrifice one of ur sata port. either way it depends on how MB manufacturer MB instruction manual. some allow only for ssd some allow for expansion card.
Type C usb is actual more for newer phone for using that port, or other hdd (like seagate 8tb ext drive) with higher transfer speed (which maybe lower or on par with thunderbolt.)
As so for SATA express drive, is actually more faster than our current normal SATA 3 and as well as m.2 slots. which is max 16Gbps, where as M.2 is 10Gbps. As of now still no SATA express drive available in the market.
Other than that will be thunderbolt which is abit like type C but most more powerful, to be able to use the port as display, file transfer, ext network card, etc.
Anyway, for normal consumer, these extra features tends to be a bit useless as they wont full utilise, some might use, but those part will cost them some arms or legs, depends on what kind of stuff.
well my explanation isn't much a good briefing, if u can google abit to found out more.
