no leh. I transfer using RJ45 cable. My setup is like this. After i put in my 2x 1TB WD GP. I hook up the DNS323 to my router. Then using easy search i found the device. Formated using raid 1. Then i update the firmware to 1.05. After that i set static ip for it @ 192.168.1.30. Then i port forward this ip with port 80 so i can connect to this device. After that i went to www.DynDNS.com set up a hostname for it. Then set the DDNS on my WRT54G and DNS323. And also did a port forward for port 21. After i map the device to to network drive x: and began to transfer files. Did i do anything wrong?

err...your port forwarding.....dns..is nothing to do with your transfer....

But i'm thinking a major factor is your router is not gigabit lan...it's only 100Mbps right..

when you map through windows....you should be able to directly go through \\192.168.1.30

any1 have the above problem as me? any solution for it??

emmm seems that using vista compare to xp uploading speed is faster (with WRT54G 10/100 router). On vista I am reading 9.5-10mb of uploading. XP only read 2.5-3mb. Funny.....

For the XP transfer, are you transferring small files or huge files?
