I encounter people with this problem 5 to 6 times. Out of the 6 times, 5 times is user mistakenly save the file with extension .htm, and the remaining guy is not using a DNS-313/323/343/CH3SNAS.

create a folder in your root drive call "fun_plug". Then use command prompt and navigate to the directory and issue the command ls or dir. check if the files ends with .htm, particularly fun_plug file. It should have no extension. If it ends with .htm, you can rename the file using ren or mv.

Hi i cant telnet so how do i see in cmd prompt ? Do u mean using cmd prompt and navigate to the dir ? If it is then the fun_plug is fun_plug.sh which is a script right ?

kelvin-chias-macbook:Volume_1 chia_kelvin$ ls
BT Nas_Prog fun_plug.tgz
Document Software
Media fun_plug.sh

I thought the instructions are pretty simple and clear in here or here?

I don't remember seeing the need to rename fun_plug to fun_plug.sh .

Is it possible for the DNS-323 to have usernames that have spaces, eg TAN AH KOW?

Windows allow username with space and I've many accounts with spaces. To change all of them will be a lot of works.

PS - found a solution.:)

Just got it from IT show, just like to check with you guys on Raid 1. I have 2 x 1 TB HDD but I choose to 500 GB for Raid 1. It says 998 will be for JBOD. So does this mean there will be 2 partition, 1 for JBOD and the other for Raid ?

on stock firmware, that usb port at the back can only be used for printer. Not sure if running open source plugins can do magic to that usb port anot. :)
shadowandy is running apps off thumbdrive connected to dns-323

Was at the IT show just now,
if I am not wrong, I thought I saw some Poster that says the DNS-323 support 2TB harddisk.
I went to the website and the latest firmware 1.06 only support up to 1.5TB.

Anybody have any idea on this, or did I see wrongly?

so far, i believe it only supports 1.5TB per rack - based on their current firmware.

it depends on ur AIO printer - its not the NAS issue.
