Can we use US Firmware 1.10 for our 323 here in SG?

I have configured RAID 1 and to transfer the files out, it took me 1 week to download 150GB out of the NAS even through i am connecting at 1gb.

Is it normal that if I switch off the NAS and power it on, the HDD will resync?

Please advise.
Thanks.

I had ever transferred almost 1TB from my DNS-323 on RAID 1, but took only almost 24 hours as far as I could recall.

Transfer rate was about 12MB/s, so for you, if you aren't reaching this 'still way below expectation' speed, perhaps you need to enable Jumbo Frames on your NIC and DNS-323.

I called up dlink support line just now when I was walking to SLS..thinking that it might be in SLS...and they gave me crapped answer..like no serial number cannot give me good solutions...and kept asking me to try this and that..come on..power switch cannot press means cannot press...she's kinda dumb......all this customer support knows shlt about their own product...

will drop by that tradehub21...thanks!

Ya the worst part is they speak with either a Pinoy or prc accent and become duck and chicken talk.

just in case -- you're putting 4k drives in your DNS-323

patch it to firmware 1.10 Beta then configure after which patch down to firmware 1.09 (firmware 1.09 is the stable one vs 1.10)

patches are located here
ftp : //dlink.com.sg/DNS-323

Firmware 1.09

Has anyone upgraded to 1.09? I cannot find it on the DLink Singapore site and dont want to be losing data.

Can I download safely from US or Canada and install?

Thanks VM

I have not upgraded as always any firmware updates we risk data lost. Unless u having major issues leave firmware alone. Not broken don't fix it.

Wheather can update US version u may drop dlink an email. They will eventually reply.

1. FTP.
2. USE a PC, remote into the pc from outside and access it.
