First of all, unless we have evidence that prove beyond reasonable doubt that a member is (EDMW-lingo) IB or foreign-influenced we cannot tell for sure he/she is so. A member may be merely expressing his/her views. If we wrongly accuse a member without sufficient evidence, we will be at fault and liable for false accusations.

For example, AhBeng dislikes chickenrice and expresses his displeasure for chickenrice. Unless proven that he is a member of duckrice fan club, we cannot judge that he is a duckrice diehard fan. He could be merely expressing his preferences. On the other hand, AhBeng may also accuse AhSeng of being a member of chickenrice fan club because AhSeng said he dislikes duckrice. Likewise, AhSeng may just be expressing his preferences if we cannot establish for sure that he is from the chickenrice fan club.

If we take a step back, it may very well be AhBeng and AhSeng simply having different preferences that is all. As with almost everything in life, everyone has their own personal preferences.

Having said the above, yeah I know it sound rather simplistic but I do hope you guys can understand the underlying message, members' posts and comments on our forums can be complex and innocently worded posts may have deeper politically motivated agendas. Our Moderators are well aware of it and we strive to maintain a neutral platform for everyone to express their views in a civil manner. We certainly do not condone quarrels between opposing factions, members sowing discord or intentionally spreading mistruths on our forums. There is already more than enough polarization going on in our society, we do not welcome users who are incapable of using our forums in a civil manner without hidden agendas, be it politically motivated or not. Although disciplinary actions may not seem apparent to most of you because they are done unannounced, rest assured many disciplinary actions had been taken and our Moderators will continue to do so diligently.

Going forward, please continue to use the Report function on suspicious posts for our Moderators to look into them. And if found to be inappropriate, they will take the necessary actions.

avoid infract ib: their own personal preferences, not foreign influence.
infract non-ib freely: sowing discord or spread untruth. (moi got 3 points just for saying "in before putinmao say bla bla bla")

guess this is where the SPH media fund goes.

"wrongly accuse a member without sufficient evidence, we will be at fault and liable for false accusations" meanwhile distorting member's intention as their own perception, no moderator actually admitted fault or liable for false accusation. head of mod come out with terrible apology, sweep under carpet and lock thread.

admin said 'continue use report function' while another mod said 'dont abuse report function'. resolving/rejected reports seem to be only half done and occur only at specific hour as if, it is always that same 1-2 moderator doing job while the others just holding a position for nothing.

From my point of view, debunking the user might lead to an argument which leads to both of us getting points, reporting without "debunking" = rejected.

this i agree. On one hand, the advice and tone set down by admins and VJ is report misinformation, on the otherhand, the mods are sending conflicting message by asking the reporter to “debunk” the threadstarter/poster

obviously there is a non-neutral mod in the team.
I did not even insult or vulgarities. all i wrote was
"in before putinmao say they de-nazify the place" akin to "in before pinky say embrace ft".
like this only kena 3 points for "name calling baiting fight" while letting all the warmongers keep celebrate ukraine death without any repercussion, with sentence like "hope russian target ukraine more" which has no technicality issue.
whoever infract my that post, hope you sleep so well at night until don't need wake up anymore.

Why don't you share the reason why you were removed from Mod status?

So far I noticed actions were taken to Mods who don't exercise moderation or fairness themselves.
