I regularly jog with my Samsung Note 4 tucked away in an armband. After only about 7+ months of usage, it started to be difficult to turn it OFF and ON by pressing the power button.
The Samsung service center told me that there was water damage(!) and it therefore wasn't covered under warranty. And the repair bill quoted was $355 (after a "generous" 30% discount!).
It would appear that Samsung phones are not made for people who exercise; or at least only for those who don't perspire whilst doing so!
A friend who also jogs regularly with a Samsung Note had a similar experience - except his bill was more than $700; fortunately he managed to get his bill waived.
I have not been so lucky.
My old iPhone4 lasted years under similar conditions. *regrets*
Is it worth fixing a 7 month old phone for $300+ ?
