Went to Best Denki and Challenger today and was told by the sales clerks there that they no longer carry 19 inch PC monitors anymore. Why is that? Have the factories stopped making 19 inch (or smaller) monitors?

So if I really want a 19 inch monitor, where else can I go (if I want a brand new one)?

Second question: I just came across an Electronics Crazy website and apparently, they have refurbished monitors for sale. Has anyone dealt with them before? Are they trustworthy?

Monitors are cheap nowadays so most people do not want smaller monitors. For example, you can get a 24" for S$119.

Ah, thanks for the recommendation. But the reason I am getting a 19 inch one is not just because of the price. It's because I have limited space on my desk and I have been using a 19 inch one for years already. Kinda used to it by now.

OK, so far everyone is telling me to buy a bigger monitor.

Fine. So back to my second question. Has anyone dealt with Electronics Crazy before?

https://www.electronicscrazy.sg/

They are selling decently sized monitors for $50+ each. But I don't know how trustworthy they are etc.

limited space is not an excuse, you can mount monitor arm or wall hang. Pple BTO so small living room also can hang 75" LED.

My table have no space but I can squeeze 2x24" and one 32" by flipping one of the 24" vertically but eventually will do away with the 24" and go with dual 32".

I brought a canon 3 in 1 printer from electronics crazy around 9 months ago. No problem dealing with them.
And if you're looking for 19 inchs monitor, check this link > https://www.lazada.sg/tag/19-inch-monitor/

Nowadays modern machine with HDMI port is becoming more popular compare to dvi and vga port that use to be the norm of 19inch monitor. Things to consider when you are getting monitor if you only have legacy display port when buying new monitor.

@TS, monitors like Samsung monitor cost around $100.

https://www.samsung.com/sg/monitors/flat/sr35-24-inch-ips-fhd-1080p-freesync-ls24r350fzexxs/

If no space can either get a stand or monitor arm.
Reason why no more 19" is because these days 1920 x 1080 is a common resolution.

19" monitor usually are 1333 resolution which is bad in current times. Since everything is squeeze on the screen.

If you want to get 19" monitor, no one will stop you. But usually these monitors are very old and won't last long.

Since these monitors are common back in Win 7 era where Full HD is yet a common standard.

Because 24 and 27 inches FHD are basically using the same panels as 48 and 55 inches 4K

From production point of view this means one less item to stock and produce

You will have better luck looking at portable monitors

For 19" monitor, you can only get it second hand, near impossible to find new, unboxed set.
Some sellers on Shopee or Lazada do carry monitors of this size.
If TS is near Sim Lim Sq, can go there to look for it too, some shops are selling but getting rare.
