Must have good balance. Confidence is good but also must acknowledge own flaws to self improve+adapt.

However, do not look down on yourself just because you feel you do not fit in society's expectations. Society expectation is built upon how useful you can be towards others more than yourself. If you cannot be yourself, that's when it's over.. you'll end up in bigger depression just to gain some acceptance from wearing a mask to satisfy some people. So yeah.. you don't need to keep following every society's expectations. Be yourself is all that matters.
